EPIC Services for Youth At Risk

EPIC offers a variety of programs for youth between the ages of 12 and 17--all with a single purpose: to give kids the skills and tools to become productive, healthy, happy adults. Program areas include: mentoring, after school activities, runaway and emergency shelters, residential behavior treatment and therapeutic foster care. Our Youth Services facilities and programs are located in Yakima and the Tri-Cities and serve 1,000 youth and their families each year from throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Be a mentor and coach a kid in the game of life!

Kids who have a consistent caring adult in their lives are more likely to stay in school and to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Without this critical support, the same youth face educational failure, substance abuse, or legal involvement.

EPIC Partners Mentoring Program provides positive adult role models for at-risk children ages 9 to 15 in Benton and Franklin counties. Each carefully screened and specially trained volunteer mentor spends 1 hour per week for one year with their assigned "mentee," doing fun activities in the community.

If you are in the Tri-Cities area and willing to "coach a kid in the game of life," call the EPIC Partners Mentoring Program today to get more information: (509) 374-5122.

Difficult, demanding, rewarding!

Become an EPIC foster parent!

EPIC needs foster parents, respite foster parents and therapeutic foster care homes!

EPIC Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care are offered for kids age 0 - 17 who have been placed in a custody of the state. These youth have experienced abuse or neglect, and as a result, have difficulties with behavior, emotions and relationships.

Therapeutic foster care is provided by foster parents specially trained in therapeutic issues and behavior management techniques. Respite foster care provides regular foster parents a break.

If you think you have what it takes to be a respite care provider, foster parent or therapeutic foster parent, call (509) 452-7606.
