What Is Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP)?
EPIC Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP) is very similar to Head Start, but is funded by the Washington State. ECEAP offers services to low-income families, children with disabilities, and foster children; ECEAP offers medical, dental and developmental screenings. ECEAP also offers comprehensive child development services, including: nutrition, mental health, disability and family support. These services are offered in our Bridgeport, Brewster, West Valley, Jefferson, Fairview and Prosser Early Learning Centers. ECEAP addresses the needs of the whole child and recognizes the importance of the families by initiating early intervention to break the cycle of poverty.
Who is the EPIC ECEAP program for?
EPIC ECEAP offers services to low income families and families of children with special needs to children of 3-5 years of age.
EPIC ECEAP program is offered 4 half days per week from September through May.

Is transportation provided?
EPIC ECEAP provides transportation at some locations. Contact your local Center for transportation details.
Is there a fee?
EPIC ECEAP is a free child development program that supports low income families.
Required Documents for Enrollment:
- Proof of income for the past twelve months (W2’s, pay stubs, child support, TANF etc.)
- Child’s birth certificate
- Immunization record
- Child’s current well child (physical) and dental exams
- Medical insurance
